Playing this type of shot is all in the setup. Get your stance and body position right, and the rest should work itself out.
2 Body position
Ensure that you keep most of your weight on your left foot throughout the entirety of your swing. Even during your backswing, a majority of weight should be on the front foot. This, again, will force you to come down on the ball with a steeper face, promoting a low flight.
Once everything is in place, swing just as you would normally. The setup position will automatically force the ball the stay low, so you don’t need to tweak your actual swing. This could easily lead to a failure to connect properly with the ball.
