It may be easier said than done to play that clean, descending strike. If you’re struggling with it, try this simple drill.
Stick a tee in the sand, so that its head is level with the surface, positioned one ball-width ahead of the ball you are playing. Play practice shots, attempting to clip the very top of the tee without digging it out of the ground.
If your club doesn’t go anywhere near the tee, your swinging up too early. If it digs the tee out of the ground, you’re taking too much sand.
