Jason Dufner makes a splash to avoid a penalty at Trump Doral

Very occasionally, it is necessary to remove your footwear on the golf course, and that’s exactly what happened to Jason Dufner during Thursday’s opening round of the WGC-Cadillac Championship.

Dufner flared his approach shot on the par-5 8th out to the left, leaving the ball bobbling in the shallow water near the shore.

Instead of taking a penalty, Dufner took off his shoes, socks and visor, rolled up his trousers, and flopped his ball onto the green before two-putting for par.
