Jordan Spieth Matches Tiger Woods with 7 Wins before Age 23

Jordan Spieth is the one to watch on the PGA Tour at the moment. The 22-year-old had one of the most successful years in PGA Tour history in 2015, and has started 2016 in much the same fashion. Spieth’s win in Kapalua at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions was his seventh professional career win.

The win put Spieth alongside Jordan Spieth as the only golfers in recent history to have won seven events at such a young age. Horton Smith, who won 32 PGA Tour events from 1926, also matched this record.

Spieth won the Masters and the U.S. Open last year, and has held the No. 1 spot in the Official Golf World Rankings for quite some time. The tweet below exemplifies Spieth’s recent form.

Another commenter pointed out that, although that Spieth is doing is impressive, his early-career achievements are yet to match Woods.

Jordan Spieth finished the Hyundai Tournament of Champions this last week at 30-under with a final-day 6-under 67.
