“Everyone in Northern California is looking forward to this exciting tournament at Silverado,” said Johnny Miller, the tournament’s host.

McIlroy is 17th in the FedExCup going into next week’s BMW Championship. After that, the top 30 in the FedExCup will qualify to play in the following week’s Coca-Cola TOUR Championship. The Northern Irishman won both the WGC-Cadillac Championship and the Wells Fargo Championship this year.
