Vaughan Taylor Wins at Pebble Beach after Mickelson Lips Out

Mickelson didn’t go down easily. Phil “The Thrill” sure lived up to his moniker with an entertaining finish. He made a long clutch putt for par on the 16th to stay in the game, and that preceded a birdie on the par-three 17th.

The 45-year-old left himself an easy uphill chip on the 18th, but failed to pitch the ball close enough for a one-putt.

Taylor started to gather some steam on the 10th, when the back nine birdies began rolling in. He proceeded to birdie Nos. 13 through 16, the last one being a challenging left-to-right sidewinder from 30 feet. Watch it below.
