You will no doubt be familiar with the daunting prospect of having to pitch the ball over a bunker, while bringing it to rest shortly after it lands. These lob shots require a much more lofted flight than usual, minimizing any roll when the ball hits the green.
The thing that makes these shots so intimidating is that you need to strike the ball with confidence. With just a slight lack of purpose to the shot, you can easily end up catching the ball thin and sending it way off course.
